2020 - After SAS ban on female operatives is lifted, Layla joins SAS proper as a field specialist once she graduates SAS school.
2022 - Planted in South Africa to monitor arms trafficking as part of a joint MI6-INTERPOL effort to track down arms dealers and arrest them. Worked indirectly with Ben Saxton before his layoff to coordinate strikes against crime lords and illicit cargo shipments

2026 - Shortly picked up by Sarif industries to serve as liason between Sarif and EU for government augmentation contracts because of her acquisitions experience. Given augmentations to perform job, as well as pulling double duty to test various weapon augmentations to show to potential buyers.
At Sarif London augmentation proving grounds at time of aug incident. Mostly unaffected due to military-grade augmentation prototypes having backup chips and advanced software suites in case of remote biochip hijack. Kills representatives of several countries in self defense.
2026-2027 - Warrants for her arrest drawn up but then forfeited after camera footage proves self-defense. Layla is undercover from INTERPOL for a year for the duration of the warrant.
2028-Present - EU agrees to hire her on the condition that she reveal how she was able to evade INTERPOL top operatives. This time she’s inside the EU governing body due to many vacancies. However, this gives her a unique position on her information access.
